your stay with us

There are a few things we thought you might find helpful to know about us before you make the journey, so let us enlighten you.

ACCESS

To help you find us, and a few notes about the location.

  • We live atop a hill (which is why we get such a great view!) and both our driveways are fairly steep as a result. So when you arrive in your car just be aware of the ascent before you.

  • We have ample, flat parking to easily accommodate your car or van once you’ve made it up the hill.

  • Occasionally your GPS might take you to another location nearby, so if you are in any trouble, don’t hesitate to call.

  • The nearest train stations are Llanelli and Bury Port, both within a 2mile / 10 minute taxi drive.

  • The nearest Airport is Cardiff Airport, about one hour and 15 minutes drive from us (45miles).

further information

We hope you really enjoy your stay at Bronllys farm and will do our utmost to make it a relaxing and pleasurable one. Please do not hesitate to approach and ask us for anything you would like help with whether it is about use of facilities, places to visit and places to eat or something that you could use and perhaps forgot to bring with you. Someone will usually be on hand to assist or you can phone or message us through the channels displayed in your accommodation and we will respond very soon. Remember, the only stupid question or request is the one that isn't asked!

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

We have a standard check in times of 3 pm to 11 pm and a checkout of 11am. We are happy to be flexible when possible and this often depends on bookings before or after yours and their arrival and departure times. We can chat closer to the time and agree to an earlier or later time if available. As Bronllys Farm is our family home we would value respect regarding very late arrivals but do understand that unforeseen circumstances can cause delays. We may leave a unit open with the keys inside the door and greet you in the morning.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

We have limits for guests in each unit as well as extra rates for guests over the standard occupancy. The booked accommodation is for exclusive use of the guests identified at the time of booking and require prior approval of any extra guests. We appreciate that sometimes extra friends or family may like to stay at short notice and will do our best to be flexible but will require payment for extras according to our price schedule.

NO MEALS PROVIDED

All our accommodation options are self-catering either with private facilities or using the large shared farmhouse kitchen. Tea/coffee/milk are provided with a kettle in all units/rooms so you can make a drink on arrival along with a pack of complimentary welshcakes.

We supply a map of local shops and supermarkets for you to stock up on provisions as required.

We may have farm fresh eggs available for guests at the cost of £1.50 for 6. Please ask if you would like some during your stay or to take away.

HOUSEKEEPING

We do not provide in unit cleaning during your stay but if you need our help with anything please just ask. If you are staying for longer than a week or need fresh bedding or towels for any reason then we are happy to supply it. The units will have basic cleaning items.

BARBEQUE

The large barbecue grill is available for guests from all units. You will find charcoal in the crate along with matches and firelighters and cooking tools. Please use the outdoor plates and bowls if eating in the picnic area and do not bring the crockery from your unit as breakages can be expensive to replace wash and return items in readiness for other guests. The grill can be scrapped of food residue with the tool provided.

PARKING

We normally have ample parking for guests and will show you the best space for your unit as you arrive. We have two driveway entrances/exits and it is important not to block the free passage of vehicles between them as we have regular deliveries and visitors.

LOST PROPERTY

We often have items left behind by guests and are happy to reunite them with you with prepayment of postage and packing. This can either be through Paypal or the card used at the time of booking. Items unclaimed after a month will be disposed of or donated to charity.

ENERGY USE

We have installed solar panels to save electricity and harness our south facing aspect. When convenient we would kindly ask you to use appliances such as washing machines or dishwasher during daylight hours. We would also encourage energy consciousness by turning off lights when not needed especially in bathrooms that have extractor fans. If returning after dark however it is helpful to leave the outside light on it can be quite dark away from any street lighting.

SMOKING

All internal spaces are strictly non smoking. We appreciate that some like to smoke and are happy for them to do so outside on the decking areas or the rear patio (under the shelter if raining) on the condition that cigarette butts are not discarded on the ground anywhere but left in the ashtrays provided or disposed of in a bin. Picking up cigarette butts is our least favourite job.

We are very serious about our non smoking policy due to some previous very disrespectful behaviour and damage and if found to be smoking inside (including out of windows) you will be asked to vacate the unit with immediate effect with no refund no matter how long remains of your stay.

WATER AND SEPTIC TANK

The drinking water is of excellent quality at Bronllys Farm.

We are not on the main sewerage system so it is VERY IMPORTANT not to put anything like sanitary products or wipes of any kind down the toilet except toilet paper. These can cause an expensive blockage and do not degrade in the tank.

RECYCLING

We do our best to reuse and upcycle what we can at Bronllys Farm.

Each unit has a recycling bin for cans/card/paper and plastics identified as recyclable. Please squash any bottles or cartons as this saves a lot of space and rinse food off items first. Glass is taken to the bottle bank separately so please do not place in the recycling bags.

Food waste can be put in the green waste bin and with either be enjoyed by the goats, chickens or the compost pile.

ISSUES AND DAMAGES

We recognise that problems and issues with rental properties can occur in the same way as in any family home and will do our very best to address anything brought to our attention as soon as possible either by solving it or providing a temporary solution. Please be patient if it involves arranging for a tradesman to be called out. Please notify us of anything wrong, broken or missing before leaving so we can make sure the unit is at it's best for the next guests.
